Neon Splash Dash

A couple of weeks ago my sisters and I did a 5k called the Neon Splash Dash.  It was awesome!  It was the first 5k for all three of us.  I am so glad that we were able to do it.  And I am very proud to say that we finished that sucker in 27 minutes!! Much better then I expected us to do.  Especially because I had only gone running like 2 times to "train" for this.  It was so much fun to be able to do the run with both of my sisters.  I didn't expect there to be that many people doing this run, but boy was I wrong! There were thousands of people!  It was so crazy!  But out of all those people I am pretty sure my sisters and I had the best cheerleader in the world....JOSH!  He was so cute cheering us on and snapping pictures of us.
So the idea of the Neon Splash Dash is that you run and randomly throughout the run you go through Splash Zones where you get sprayed with Neon paint.  At the end of it you run through black lights and everyone is glowing and its pretty awesome!  Just let me say one thing that isn't so awesome.  Screaming through the Splash Zone to be crazy and have fun and have someone spray the paint in your mouth.  That wasn't awesome.  But other then that getting sprayed with paint while running was actually way fun.
It was so much fun to be able to run with two of my most favorite people in the world.  I couldn't have asked for better running partners.  It was so fun to help push each other and get us to the finish line.  Oh and at the finish line there was a million black lights and a dance party...WOOT WOOT!  If you know me you know I love a good dance party!  Oh man I was having the time of my life.  I think thats how every race should end.

I am so grateful for wonderful sisters that will do fun things with me and a loving husband that will cheer me on through everything I do.

An Overload of Awesome

Let me just say....my life is awesome!  Josh makes everything amazing.  We have way too much fun together.  I have been so busy that I haven't been able to even keep up with writing on here.  So this post is going to have lots in it.   First lets start with date night!

Josh and I found a gift card from our wedding that we totally forgot that we had.  It was one of those Discover Credit card gift cards.  So we thought awesome lets go splurge on sushi.  We figured we would probably end up paying like 10 bucks.  Not too shabby for a sushi date night.  So we totally splurged and got 4 rolls and eel and inari.  It was amazing.  Nothing better then the Primo Roll at Temaris sushi!  No joke.  We were in Heaven and felt like we were going to explode.  So we pull out our gift card to pay and the waitress says...."oh we don't take Discover cards"  WHAT THE!!!  haha so looks like Sushi date night ended up costing us a bit more then 10 bucks.  It was still totally awesome!

 The amazing Primo Roll.

Now lets get to the Phoenix suns game.  It was so much fun!  We scored amazing tickets from the Doc that I work for.  We were so close!!  And the game was so much fun!  At then end of it we leaned over the edge of the stands and we got to high five all of the players.  AMAZING!  And Josh is always on a quest to find pizza that reminds him of New Jersey and we found a place that wasn't that perfect but it was pretty dang sweet.

Yummy pizza

Look how close we were!

Now on to camping in Payson.  We started off our little Payson adventure at a place called Macky's Grill.  If you haven't been there....GO.  Its the best.  We both just got Hamburgers and they were so tasty!  We were in Hamburger Heaven for sure.  So then it was onto the camping part of our adventure.  Josh and I are pretty much the best campers in the world.  We looked for the perfect camping spot for like 2 hours but once we found it we had our campsite up and ready including our fire and tent in less than a half hour. Yeah we are the best.  We had a tent that went on the back of the truck and that thing was so cool!  It was so nice to be able to have my hubby all too myself with no homework and no studying for those 24 hours.  When we woke up the next day we went on a little hike and found all of these waterfalls and it was a blast.  My hunny is so much fun to hike with...but not gonna lie he was scaring me when he was jumping from rock to rock.

Vegas

We officially have a blog!!  YAY!  I have been wanting to start one since we first got married but have just been way too busy to actually do it.  I finally have some time to start it and I am excited!  Josh and I have almost been married for 9 months.  It is so hard to believe.  Time has seriously just flown by so fast.  We have had the greatest 9 months ever!  Josh and I have been able to do so many fun things.  I am so lucky to be married to such an amazing, talented, smart and sexy man!  He makes me so happy.

We recently got back from Las Vegas for my cousins sealing.  It was so great to be there and we love her and her husband so much.  They are about to have a baby girl and it is so crazy that my little Chrissy girl is about to pop out a beautiful little girl!

Speaking of being pregnant.....IM NOT!  Every single person around me is!  I am starting to get super jealous! haha  Josh tells me to simmer down and it will happen for us when its the right time for us.  But I swear if you hug me you will get pregnant!  I am telling you thats how it worked for everyone else.  But I will get to be a mommy soon enough.

Back to Vegas.  It was Josh's first time to Vegas and so I wanted to take him down the strip so he could have the Vegas experience.  It started out so much fun.  We went with my parents, my sister Ashlee, my cousin Chad, and four of our friends, Ty, Travis, DJ, and Braydon.  We started out at the Coca-Cola Factory.  We got to try 16 different Cokes from around the world.  It was so much fun.  Some of those cokes were so delicious and some of them were nastaayy!  After the Coca-Cola Factory we went over to the M&M factory.  We got to sample white choco M&Ms and bought some M&Ms and ate so many that I felt sick.  Josh and I also bought two decks of M&M cards!!  woohoo!  After that we walked down to the Bellagio and watched the water show that they have there.  That was the main thing that Josh wanted to do and it was totally awesome!  After that we went and had a frozen hot choco at Serendipity 3.  It was super yummy.  We went and tried our luck at the slot machines at New York New York and came out with NADA. haha  We decided to end the night on the roller coaster at New York New York......baddd idea.  We ended up getting stuck on the top of the roller coaster for an hour!  Three times while we were stuck the cart fell back 3 times and it was the most horrifying thing ever.  By the second time it fell back I was really freaking out.  Thank goodness I had Josh there with me because I wouldn't have made it without him.   After the third one I was bawling my eyes out.  Finally they sent up to workers to help us get out of the coaster and walk down the side maintenance steps.  That was a joke.  The boys they sent up made it so much worse.  They made me way more scared then I already was.  But after an hour of being up over 200ft in the air and walking down unstable wobbly maintenance stairs I made it back to my waiting parents alive!  I lived to tell the tale!  It was quite the night.  We drove home the next day and I thought the craziness was over.

wronggg....

I get a text from my dad the next morning and BOOM a picture of a dead bear that my sister hit while driving home.  Luckily she was in my dads truck and didn't get hurt.  The truck is messed up but my sister and dad were safe, that was all that mattered to me.
